The Red Barn – A Farm to Fork Experience at Centennial Farm

October 1 / 6:30-9:30 p.m., OC Fair and Event Center
This fall-inspired dining event featuring a gourmet, locally sourced, four-course meal created by Executive Chef Greg Daniels of Haven Gastropub that is paired with wine selected by the Orange County Wine Society.

You’ll start the night with a cocktail hour in Centennial Farm with wine tastings, appetizers, and a guided tour of the Farm.

After that, dinner is served in the cozy and beautiful Millennium Barn.

29th Annual San Clemente Seafest 
Sunday, October 2

The Seafest is famous for its Chowder Cook-Off Competition held on the historic San Clemente Pier.  Area citizens, restaurants, and businesses vie for the best tasting chowder this side of New England. The best part is you can sample all of the unique variations of delicious chowder!

There will also be fresh seafood available from Fishermans Restaurant and Bar, a surfing contest, arts & craft exhibits, and plenty of fun contests and complimentary arts and crafts for the kids.

Free shuttle parking is available at San Clemente High School!

Annual Sandcastle Contest – Corona Del Mar
October 2, 10 am to 3:30 pm

It’s the 55th year for this annual event hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. People flock to Corona del Mar to view amazing sand sculptures created by participants ranging from the novice to the expert.

This year’s theme is “Fantasy Castles and Cars”. Check it out…it’s a perfect way to spend the day with family and friends!

Dana Point Oktoberfest – Dana Point
October 15, 12pm-7pm

This is Southern California’s largest free Oktoberfest celebration! You’ll find German bands, great authentic German food and large selection of German and Craft brews on tap. This is a family friendly adventure that features activities for the kids too.

Free parking and shuttle to and from the event can be found at Dana Hills High School.

Long Beach Craft Beer Festival

October 14-15

This first annual open-air festival will take place at the beautifully renovated Jack Rose Track Stadium in the heart of the burgeoning Long Beach and Los Angeles craft beer scene.

Unlimited 2 oz pours of over 100 beers will be offered from over 50 top local, regional, and national guest breweries. Numerous favorites will be on tap including Modern Times, Coronado, Beachwood Brewing, Barley Forge, Refuge Brewery, Belching Beaver, AleSmith, Pizza Port, Blackmarket Brewing, Ballast Point, Smog City, Innovation Aleworks, Angel City, Karl Strauss Brewing, La Quinta Brewing, Bear Republic, The Dudes’ Brewing Company and many more!

There will also be plenty of food available from Naples Rib Company, Legends Sports Bar and some great food trucks!
